This is a swaying reed diffuser crafted using Tokyo's traditional rattan artistry.
When it catches a breeze from the window or you gently blow air onto its sail, the diffuser softly sways, filling the room with fragrance.
The reed, which holds the aroma oil, is delicately woven from rattan, while the sail made of washi paper stretched over a bent rattan frame gracefully catches the wind. Techniques like "knotting" and "bending," integral to the craft of rattan, have enabled these features.
